Adidas Angels

Since October 2007 we have the honor to enjoy a fruitful cooperation with, the world renowned sports- and clothing brand, Adidas. This has given the Angels the great opportunity to professionally present themselves at major sportive events all over our world. The so-called Adidas Angels enjoy a great, appealing visibility which helps our organization to structurally support our projects.

Adidas Angels is our organizational ‘sports wing’. We discovered that sports is a very effective means to support our projects,  when a group of Dutch students who challenged themselves to row 100 km from the city of Leiden to Delft, combined their efforts with collecting funds to help us out.

This inspired others to do good via sports as well.  More challenges - such as the Marathon of Beijing in 2007, and the Marathon of Paris and Berlin in 2008 - followed.

Most recent events:

Beijing Marathon –October 21st, 2007:

Little less than a year before the Olympics, two Angels -dressed in complete Adidas outfit- run the Beijing Marathon.  Collected funds are given to the Songyuan Hope Project.

Paris Marathon – April 6th, 2008:

Three Belgian friends run the Marathon de Paris in Adidas shirts. Collected funds are given to water-projects in Burkina Faso and Mali.

Berlin Marathon  - September 28th, 2008:

The Adidas Angels from Beijing challenge themselves again by running the Berlin Marathon. Even though they arrive a little later at the finish then Haile Gebrselassie, they are successful in collecting funds. The efforts of this marathon – donated to the Angels by the energy company Suez - are devoted to the Mexican organization In’Laak Ech.
